In July 2021, we’re seeing the beginning of a return to “normal”. All free events this month include:
Star gazing July 9 beginning anytime from about 8:30 – 9:30 (no masks required). With the Santa Cruz Astronomy Club and their scopes. Bring your red flashlight if you have one.
Birding walk July 10 from 8 – 10AM (no masks required) with a senior birder. Easy stroll; bring binoculars; good for beginners too.
History tour July 11 from 1 – 3PM in the visitor center (masks please) with Richard James. Learn about the 5 families who owned the ranch and how it became part of the county park system.
Full moon walk July 24 at 9PM (no masks required). Bring your flashlight. The full moon won’t rise until about 10PM, so our paths will be dark until then.
